In addition to the health testing listed below, we also test each dog for a panel of breed specific genetic diseases.  Please click on the Paw Print medallion to view the genetic test report that will be included in each puppy folder.  Some dogs may have fewer tests completed because they were cleared for a specific disease through parentage.

Striving to make our Bernedoodles not only loving, home-raised companions, we make health and longevity a top priority. Therefore, after researching pedigrees and generations of health tested parents, we have imported our Bernese Mountain Dog girls from Europe as the foundation for our bernedoodles!  Tisza and Zala came from a breeder of international champions in Hungary. This breeder not only produces sought after champions, his dogs have a life span of 10-13 years, unlike the American Bernese which average 6-8 years of age! These thriving European girls combined with the great qualities and longer life span of a poodle make the Bernedoodles a family member that will be with you for many wonderful years to come. This girl is one of our newest imports from Hungary.  She is named after the small river that runs through her home town in Hungary. She is such a sweet and loving girl.  She loves cuddling, playing, going on walks, and just being close to her family.  Duna is a calm and gentle pet with good house manners too.  We just love her!

This sweet girl is named after the Samara River that runs through eastern Ukraine. Beautiful, intelligent, goofy and loving are just some of the words that describe this eye catching girl.  She's the happiest among her family, playing, cuddling, running and always just being a total ham!  Heika is athletic and energetic but content to just be lazy as well.  Training is a synch as she is very intelligent and motivated by affection and hugs, and of course a good treat!

Our Wonderful Retired Mamas

Retired Dam: Tisza  Named after the Tisza River, the longest river in Hungary.  After searching for the perfect dog for almost a year, River Doodles imported our first Bernese Mountain Dog, Tisza directly from Hungary!  This sweet, gentle giant is everything we had hoped for and comes from champion bloodlines.  She is our social butterfly that eagerly greets everyone that looks her way. But don't let her goofiness fool you, this beauty won Best in the Baby Class in Hungary!  She has been a wonderful mom to her pups, AND a surrogate mom for pups from other litters as well.  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect BMD to create the foundation for our bernedoodle breeding program.  Tisza is now living out the good, retired life with my brother and sister in law in Tucson, AZ.

Retired Dam: Zala Named after the Zala River located in southwest Hungary.  We imported Zala directly from Hungary and couldn't be more pleased with this sweet girl.  Her pedigree is filled with an ancestry of Champions!  Her paws are huge but she walks through the house as if she were a gentle 10 lb poodle!  When Zala is not running through the yard with her best friend Tisza, she can be found in our small pond, enjoying the water.  We will miss this girl so much as she was truly one of our favorite girls.  Zala is now living the good life with Tisza and my brother and sister in law in Tucson, AZ.  Thankfully we will see these girls again every Christmas!!
	Zala was awarded the "Most Promising Puppy" by the judges at the National Dog Show in Europe!

Retired Dam: Emma This gorgeous Old World Bernedoodle® is from our big girl Zala and Java.  We hate to see Emma go. She continues to live with her wonderful Guardian Family and her four-legged family, Java (her dad) and Oliver (goldendoodle).  Emma is enjoying retired life living between California and her vacation home in Colorado.	Retired Dam: Pinka Named after the Pinka River in Western Hungary.  We were so impressed with our girls Zala and Tisza and their healthy European bloodlines, that we couldn't wait to get this girl, Pinka, from Hungary as well!  Like our other girls from Europe, her pedigree is filled with an ancestry of Champions!
Retired Dam: Desna Named after the Desna River in Ukraine.We are so excited about our lil' import from Ukraine, Desna!  She is such a sweet girl that just wants to cuddle in your lap.  This has become a bit more challenging now that she is full grown.  But that doesn't stop her from being a true lap dog!  Like our other girls from Europe, her pedigree is filled with wonderful bloodlines of solid, healthy champions!	Retired Dam:  Hudson  Hudson is our standard European Old World Bernedoodle® from our Pinka and Java litter.  She is quite the show stopper with the sweetest personality to go along with her good looks!  She thinks she is a petite little lap dog as she tries to curl up on the lap of her guardian family on their lounge chair by the pool. She will have stunning puppies with her sweet personality as well!
Retired Dam:  Mabel This sweet girl is also from our wonderful parents Tisza and Slater. Mabel was one of our first Old World Bernedoodles®.
